Bring SnackTime Explorers to your FFVP classroom in 2024-25!
Our SnackTime Explorers educational toolkit, designed in partnership with FRESHEALTH produce, adds an educational element to the USDA’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. SnackTime Explorers Lead Teachers bring Food Ed. to their elementary students via bite-sized lessons.

Last week, we were honored to celebrate the legacy of our beloved friend and Board of Directors member Brian E. Kruk with his friends and family for the first-ever Brian E. Kruk Memorial Fundraiser at Big Star in Wicker Park. Brian was and remains a beloved member of the Pilot Light community, and it was incredible to see his family and friends join together to honor his life in support of our mission!
Because Brian was a former teacher and ever-passionate about food, the Brian E. Kruk Memorial Fund has been dedicated to our Food Education Fellowship since it was founded by Brian's wife, Sarah Jarvis and his family in 2022. Saturday's event received an incredible amount of support from Brian's community, raising over $20,500 for the fund!
