Can handle the distance and vert. This would be a push from what I've done recently, but is similiar to stuff in my past. Would need to meet up and brush up on the technical (ropes et all). Have another interested and in the same boat.

413-658-5549I'm pretty quick and have a skimo skinsuit, but I'm not usually on the podiumI can rip anything the mountain throws at me!I've climbed a few glaciers but need to practice the knots a few times againMajor caveat is that the race falls at the tail end of the typically ~six-week prime ski mountaineering season on NH's Mt Washington, so I'm a little reluctant to pass up that for this. But having organized skimo races out here for a decade-and-a-half, and been racing now since 2005, including both in the East and in Colorado and Idaho over the years, this new race has major FOMO potential! My fitness is still quite good despite age 56, and I have all the lightest gear, plus my hypoxic tent will help with the elevation. My original skiing background is as an NCAA alpine racer and coach. I've previously skied from both of Baker's summits, as well as from Rainier's summit (Emmons) and also Glacier Peak as the most remote of the major volcanoes. I'm still working on finding skimo race partners I know (in Oregon, Colorado, New York, Massachusetts, and Quebec) but lots of prior committments.

I've been reacing a good amount this year and have been pretty steady with training. I've skied Mt. Baker twice before and climbed it a few times without skis. I'm currently located in Boulder CO but have roots in Washington. I'de love to join a team!

503-8533424I'm a solid middle of the pack racer and happy with that!I can rip anything the mountain throws at me!I've climbed a few glaciers but need to practice the knots a few times againSplitboarder - can't transition in 20 seconds like the skiers but I might be one of a dozen splitboarders that owns a skinsuit and carbon ski boots! Exactly middle of the heavy mettle pack at Vertfest last year. Climbed Baker for the first time last year with a guide so would definitely need to practice the knots again. Plan to train diligently for this one.
