Amado Khaya Initiative
He is the new ancestor that has carved out a new path and way of being.
He is the success story we need to celebrate.
He is the epitome of humanity.
Be love. Be loved. Be Amado.
Our Programming
Amado serves as a shining example of the kind of ethos, the kind of commitment that today’s world so desperately needs. Continuing his legacy, the Amado Khaya Initiative (AKI) aims to disseminate indigenous, land-based, decolonial knowledge and promote individual and collective healing, transformation and liberation.

The Amado Khaya Healing House
This house was purchased as a way of honoring our son/step-son/grandson/brother, Amado Khaya Canham Rodriguez. It is intended to be a space of healing and rejuvenation to be shared with our friends, family and all those who are committed to the causes that Amado supported and fought for during his short, but short-lived but well-lived life of 22 years.
Funding will go towards supporting artist and community organizer residencies, youth leadership development fellowships, and healing justice retreats.
